‘The Rock’ Promotes New Movie, Why Should We Trust Him?

I was just reading about the upcoming film ‘The Smashing Machine’ featuring the WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. I’m here to zero in on just one sentence the former ‘Most Electrifying Man in Sports and Entertainment’ posted on his Facebook...

You realize that there’s the machine, and then there’s the human being within the machine.

Dwayne is talking about his role as MMA icon Mark Kerr.

Here’s my problem: 'The Rock' made similar and even more intense remarks about ‘Black Adam’! This was a film where he attempted to seize control of DC Studios and utterly failed in a spectacular fashion!

He mentioned spending years on that, but I doubt it after watching the movie. It felt like someone spent five minutes on it, rushing to get to Black Adam vs. Superman.

This new movie has the potential to be incredible, but why should we simply take The Rock’s word for it? Or trust the superficial interviewers he engages with?
