Nielsen Ratings Changed and it's Bad News for Pro Wrestling

AEW

Last month, Nielsen confidently announced its upcoming changes in a statement titled "Nielsen begins updated era of TV ratings with Big Data + Panel for this fall’s TV season." The Wrestling Community, particularly the insightful Jim Cornette and Brian Last, has certainly taken notice.

They were speaking about AEW Dynamite's record low ratings, which we have linked for you. It's very interesting and worth a listen. I can't do a storyteller like Cornette justice, listen to the video, don't be a Mark....Henry.

According to Wrestlenomics, the latest Dynamite brought in 465,000 viewers and a 0.09 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic. That is the LOWEST demo number for AEW, ever.

That October 1st edition was no ordinary episode; it was the AEW special celebrating a six-year anniversary!
