2026 WWE Hall of Fame Class Update – Bad News Brown Joins the Legacy Wing!

2026 WWE Hall of Fame Class Update – Bad News Brown Joins the Legacy Wing!

Before he ever stepped into a wrestling ring, Allen Coage (Bad News Brown) was a legit badass — he won the bronze medal in heavyweight judo at the 1976 Montreal Olympics, becoming the first African American to win an individual Olympic medal in a sport outside of boxing or track & field.

He also grabbed gold at the Pan American Games and was a multiple-time U.S. national champion. That real-deal toughness carried straight into pro wrestling.

In Stampede Wrestling, he was a dominant heel as Bad News Allen, winning the North American Heavyweight Title multiple times and feuding with the likes of Bret Hart and Dynamite Kid.

When he hit the WWF in 1988 as Bad News Brown, his no-nonsense, street-tough persona stood out in the colorful late-’80s era.

Highlights include winning the battle royal at WrestleMania IV (last eliminating Bret Hart), programs with Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, and Roddy Piper, plus his signature Ghetto Blaster finisher.

He passed away in 2007, but his influence as one of wrestling’s most believable tough guys lives on.

Triple H made the announcement, highlighting his combat sports accomplishments and contributions to WWE.

Current 2026 Class So Far:

  • Stephanie McMahon (announced Sept 2025) – To be inducted by The Undertaker.

  • AJ Styles (announced Feb 2026) – The Phenomenal One, revealed at his retirement ceremony.

  • Demolition (Ax & Smash – announced March 2026) – Iconic ’80s tag team.

  • Dennis Rodman – NBA legend with his nWo/WCW run.

  • Sycho Sid (Sid Eudy – announced March 24) – Two-time WWE Champion, Legacy inductee.

The 2026 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony is set for Friday, April 17, 2026 at Dolby Live in Las Vegas during WrestleMania 42 weekend.

More names could still drop, so keep watching Raw/SmackDown and WWE’s channels.

Who else do you think deserves a spot this year, or are you most pumped for Bad News?
