This unseen authority figure would communicate via a giant screen at the top of the ramp, sending emails with a distinct sound (perhaps a "You’ve Got Cash!" or a "BING!") that signals the end of a segment or a forced match.
This gimmick requires a specific type of personality—someone conniving, intelligent, and capable of drawing nuclear heat without ever having to wrestle a match.
Here are the Top 5 candidates who need to assume this secret identity and reshape AEW.
1. The Legal Loopholes: Smart Mark Sterling
This is arguably the most brilliant and logical booking of the list. Mark Sterling is already the "Premiere Attorney" in AEW, specializing in contracts and loopholes.
The Storyline: Sterling, perhaps in cahoots with Don Callis, becomes the anonymous voice. He uses his legal authority to grant himself unprecedented power over the entire roster. His first act would be to systemically screw Will Ospreay out of every match.
