Wrestling history moves fast, but AEW just set a land-speed record for a faction rebrand that we might never see broken.
During a recent broadcast of AEW Collision, fans tuned in to see a major new alliance—featuring members of the Bang Bang Gang and The Dogs—officially introduced to the world.
The name chosen for this grand debut? The Last Outfit.
It had a ring to it, sure—mostly because it sounded like a group of mobsters getting ready to hit a dry cleaner.
But apparently, the shelf life of "The Last Outfit" was shorter than a standard wrestling match. Just hours later, during a post-show promo, the name was flipped right on its head to The Cut.
And AEW didn't just casually mention it—they went full-speed ahead, updating their official roster and results pages almost immediately.
Honestly, you have to respect the hustle. Most stables are forced to suffer through months of terrible merch, confused crowds, and dead-end branding before management quietly slides them into a new direction.
Not these guys. They road-tested a name for literally a single block of television, realized it sounded like a fashion critique gone wrong, and hit the eject button before the credits even rolled.
