Post-pay-per-view television is supposed to be your victory lap, but AEW decided the best way to capitalize on eighty thousand fans in London was to stick Callum Newman, a member of The United Empire on last night’s (September 2, 2026) Dynamite main event, in Texas.
No disrespect to the kid, but putting a guy whose biggest domestic television rub prior to this was lurking in the background at Wembley into a featured weekly main-event spot is peak overcomplicating the math.
There’s More of Them!
What makes it genuinely worse is that they didn't even just isolate it to one guy—they rolled out all three of them.
You have an entire auxiliary trio of obscure international pieces that the weekly TV audience has zero daily context for, and one of them looks like he wandered out of the crowd to sell programs.
Francesco Akira and HENARE are the other members of The United Empire, who may have added Andrade to the faction, which would be a huge boost.

When your roster is already bursting at the seams with established talent, slotting a trio of unknowns—complete with one standing there looking very small—into the headline match right after your biggest show of the year feels like a deliberate exercise in audience alienation.
The live crowd sat there trying to figure out who hit the ring earlier in the night, and management rewarded that confusion by putting the whole crew right under the main-event spotlight.
You just ran a massive stadium show. The momentum should be electric. Instead, you're asking a national TV audience to care about a main event anchored by an indie-tier crossover squad they had to squint to recognize three days prior.
