AEW Dynamite Preview: Beach Break 2026 (July 8)

AEW Dynamite Beach Break promotional graphic for July 8 featuring Tommaso Ciampa on the left and Chris Jericho on the right, set against a tropical sunset background with event details for TBS and HBO Max.

AEW heads to the beach this Wednesday night for a massive Beach Break special live from The BayCare Sound in Clearwater, Florida. With AEW Redemption in Montreal closing in fast, the stakes are sky-high, featuring two massive championship matches and a high-risk career stipulation.

Here is your official match-by-match preview, along with my predictions.

Singles Grudge Match: Chris Jericho vs. Tommaso Ciampa

The Setup: A hard-hitting clash of veterans. Chris Jericho looks to maintain his position on the card against a relentless Tommaso Ciampa, who has been hunting for a statement victory to catapult himself into the summer title picture.

Expect a physical, psychological battle where neither man is willing to give an inch.

AEW International Championship Match: Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Kyle Fletcher

The Setup: Elite athleticism meets pure power. Konosuke Takeshita has been on an absolute tear as International Champion, but his former Don Callis Family ally Kyle Fletcher is ready to prove he’s stepped out of the shadow of the faction.

Fletcher earned this shot after a grueling battle on Collision, but stopping the sheer force of Takeshita is an entirely different takes.

AEW Women's World Title #1 Contendership Casino Gauntlet Match: Athena vs. Rina vs. Skye Blue vs. Maya World vs. ???

The Setup: Chaos is guaranteed. The unpredictable Casino Gauntlet returns to determine who challenges for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Redemption.

ROH Women's World Champion Athena and Maya World secured the coveted #1 and #2 entry spots on Collision, but with wildcards, surprise entrants, and the unpredictable format, anyone can walk out with the title shot.

AEW World Championship Match: MJF (c) vs. Kenny Omega

Stipulation: If Omega loses, he can never challenge for the AEW World Title again.

The Setup: The ultimate high-stakes main event. After Kenny Omega saved Mark Briscoe from a post-match beatdown last week, MJF laid down a malicious ultimatum. Omega accepted the burden, putting his entire championship future on the line for one more shot at the Triple B.

Can Omega recapture the magic and dethrone the generational talent, or will MJF permanently close the curtain on The Cleaner's championship legacy?
