AEW Has Way Too Many Male Wrestlers!
I often find myself wondering, “What happened to ___?”, when I’m watching All Elite Wrestling (AEW). This refers to wrestlers who, for some reason, seem to vanish or disappear from AEW television without any explanation or follow-up.
So I took a look at their roster page just yesterday, and honestly, it made me laugh out loud. It’s absolutely RIDICULOUS! They could easily cut around 50 men, and the vast majority wouldn’t even have a clue, nor would most of them ever really care.
That’s not a criticism of the talent itself—many of these performers are actually quite good, some even great. It’s really about President Tony Khan’s ongoing misusage and clear mismanagement of that talent roster.
There are literally THREE ROWS of MEN whose names all end with the letter A! This unusual and repetitive pattern speaks volumes about the lack of thoughtful planning and careful consideration behind the scenes.
It suggests a certain degree of oversight or a rushed decision-making process that could have been avoided with more attention to detail.
There are currently 133 males listed on the AEW roster page, compared to only 38 females, which is quite striking and definitely something worth noting.
WWE has a roster consisting of 105 male wrestlers and 49 female wrestlers, representing a balanced mix that is quite typical in the professional wrestling industry. On the other hand, AEW’s roster shows a MUCH different composition.
It’s incredibly surprising to see that AEW actually has more male wrestlers than WWE, which raises the question: WHY?!?!
WWE is consistently putting on live shows throughout the year, while regularly running flagship programs like Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, as well as touring with Evolve and even collaborating with TNA.
Meanwhile, AEW focuses on its weekly Dynamite episodes, along with Collision broadcasts, which are taped approximately half of the time.
Unless you are Scott Steiner, the numbers don’t add up!
