AEW Women’s Tag Titles: It’s About Time

My recent AEW articles have been mostly negative, which some of my new friends at R/ProfessionalWrestling pointed out…in some really mean ways! LOL But it’s very similar to my TNA coverage during the second half of this year. If you’re new, you don’t know that I’ve hosted a TNA podcast for seven years and it was usually incredibly positive.

I haven't watched much live wrestling in the last ten years, only AEW events. I only started watching NXT when they worked with TNA. They just held Bound for Glory 2025, sold a huge amount of tickets and then basically took the month off.

So this is all about AEW and their highly anticipated upcoming Women's Tag Team Championship Bracket Reveal. I’m pumped to see how the matchups will unfold and eager to follow the journey of these talented athletes throughout the tournament!

AEW has many championship titles and several female wrestlers who haven't been used much in big storylines. I expected this change a while ago. Still, it's good to see it happen now!

I’m excited to see talented wrestlers like Deonna Purrazza and Taya Valkyrie team up for AEW titles. Both are great athletes and former world champions but haven’t found big success in AEW yet.

The Triangle of Madness has the potential to win the titles and then cleverly utilize the Freebird Rule. This approach opens up a wide range of possibilities, many of which are quite exciting and intriguing for fans to consider.

Toni Storm has been seriously questioning the direction of her character and what lies ahead for her in the wrestling world. Perhaps the promotion might give her a well-deserved break from the intense world title scene?

This could provide her with an opportunity to pursue other championships alongside her close friend Mina Shirakawa, potentially creating an exciting new chapter for both of them.

Finally, it’s yet another impressive title that Mercedes Mone can proudly add to her ever-growing collection. To wrap things up, I’ll share my thoughts and predictions for the inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions, Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford.

Let me know who you think in the comment section.
