American Gladiators Revival on Prime with Pro Wrestlers is Coming Soon
When I was a kid, I absolutely loved American Gladiators! Even when they brought back the show in a reboot — or a couple of reboots, honestly — I still thought they were pretty entertaining. There is just something about those over-the-top, larger-than-life challenges and the spectacle of it all that totally hooked me.
Now Prime Video is bringing back American Gladiators (the full new season premieres April 17), and I’m genuinely excited all over again. What pushed it from “cool, I’ll check it out” to “I’m setting a reminder” is the Gladiator lineup.
Three names jumped out immediately: hosting is WWE Superstar The Miz, then Kamille (NWA Women’s Champion turned AEW star) and Jesse Godderz (TNA’s Mr. PEC-Tacular and Big Brother legend) are Gladiators!
I’m big fans of all three. The Miz? Simple Awesome. Kamille is an absolute powerhouse with the presence and athleticism to dominate any event, and Jesse brings that perfect mix of strength, showmanship, and personality that made him stand out in wrestling and reality TV.
The cast also includes AEW’s Wardlow, ex-WWE’s Rick Boogs, and J-Rod from OVW.
If you grew up on the original run, gave the reboots a chance like I did, or just love seeing pro wrestlers cross over into prime-time chaos, this feels like a no-brainer. I’ll be glued to Prime Video on April 17.
