That Cody Rhodes / Gunther segment on WWE SmackDown tonight (May 8, 2026) was straight fire — cocky, funny, and perfect. Gunther sneaking up on Cody as Paul Heyman had the Undisputed WWE Champion’s attention and Cody shut that shit down!
Over and over and over, Gunther just kept coming back—relentlessly, while hilariously failing, it made sense and landed every time.
This is 100% setting up Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther at Clash in Italy (May 31 in Turin).
The build is already cooking.
Gunther’s been on a roll, but Cody just made it personal in the most entertaining way possible. I’m locked in for this feud.
