Cornette Takes Shot at Hospitalized Ospreay
Jim Cornette, a legendary figure who has accomplished nearly everything imaginable in the world of professional wrestling, is not exactly a big fan of AEW star Will Ospreay, to put it mildly.
Today, Cornette took a critical shot at Will, who is currently recovering in the hospital following surgery.
The former two-time AEW International Champion, Ospreay, shared a heartfelt post featuring kids wrestling at home. He expressed his genuine enthusiasm by adding, “I fully support this,” clearly highlighting his encouragement for young fans who enjoy engaging in pro wrestling activities.
In response, Cornette fired back sharply, “He says that from his hospital bed after major surgery, 'Kids, keep trying this at home!'” underscoring the dangers involved with a hint of sarcasm.
This is a tough situation. Ospreay LOVES wrestling, which I get, but he's seriously injured again. At 32, he's still young, but because of his risky style and frequent injuries, his wrestling career probably won't last much longer.
Cornette makes a painfully good point, as he usually does with his sharp observations. However, is this going too far? Perhaps it would be best to leave the guy alone, especially when he’s in the hospital and vulnerable.
On the other hand, Cornette’s line only fits if Will is hospitalized…so….I don’t know!
