ESPN/TKO Files Episode 1: Lee Fitting – Fired for Creep Behavior, Hired by WWE Anyway
Welcome to the first episode of the ESPN/TKO Fuckery Files — where billion-dollar mergers meet zero accountability, and “new era” is code for recycling the same old garbage with better production value.
August 21, 2023: ESPN fires Lee Fitting, their longtime SVP of Production who ran College GameDay and big NFL shows.
An internal investigation found multiple women accusing him of years of objectifying comments, body-shaming, crude sexual jokes (including “open your throat” beer quips and fellatio references), lewd texts, and a protected “boys’ club” environment.
ESPN had enough and walked him out….Just five months later, in January 2024, TKO/WWE hires him as Head of Media & Production.
He’s now overseeing Raw, SmackDown, and all the big ESPN-era programming. Triple H called him a “game-changer.” Nick Khan called him a “phenomenal leader.”
The same Nick who posed with predator Rob Feinstein at WrestleMania, it barely made any noise, due to the power of THE SYSTEM (Meltzer, Sapp, Alba, etc)
No mention of Creepy Lee’s fucked history from Wrestle Ops, they NEED that TKO access. Way more important than community safety! #THESYSTEM
Here’s the part that makes it especially foul: WWE knew exactly what they were getting.
Nick Khan has deep sports media ties. The industry is small. ESPN rights deal negotiations were already active.
They didn’t hire some random guy — they brought in the executive ESPN had just fired for toxicity, right in the middle of TKO’s own Vince McMahon/Janel Grant federal scandal.
Talent and connections over standards. Every single time. WWE had no comment when the full story resurfaced. This is your shiny new ESPN/TKO partnership, folks.
The house didn’t get cleaned — it just imported more mess from the partner.
End of Episode 1.
