FTR and Stokely are a Terrible Fit

FTR is known as one of the top tag teams in wrestling today. Some fans and experts even consider them among the greatest ever. I’m not fully convinced yet, mainly because their characters aren’t very unique or exciting.

I don’t think this problem is all their fault. Just look at their team name and ring names—Dax and Cash. It seems like AEW President Tony Khan just took the first names an AI suggested!

Frankly, those names are not only awful but also incredibly forgettable in a sport where strong branding and memorable identities are so crucial to lasting success.

This is more about their manager, Stokely Hathaway, and how badly he fits with them. I laughed during their latest promo. Two very tough guys have an effeminate man speaking for them.

It makes absolutely no sense at all! Even worse, it’s downright laughable! FTR doesn’t need any additional help or attention, so just leave them alone!

Instead, focus on the other 99.99999999% of AEW talent—the ones nobody really cares about because they simply don’t have compelling characters or storylines to connect with.
