Je'Von & Slater Put on TNA’s Match of the Year at BFG

TNA Wrestling’s Bound for Glory 2025 has just concluded, and I wanted to take a moment to share a few quick initial thoughts. A full, detailed review covering all the highlights and key moments will be coming soon in an upcoming podcast episode.

I’m sticking to just one match, because it was truly absolutely incredible from start to finish, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who watched. Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater, both only 21 years old, delivered a performance that was nothing short of a classic, showcasing impressive skill, determination, and heart throughout every moment of the bout.

Their X-Division Championship showdown was the TNA match of the year, IMO. Now, many people didn’t like the ending, and I have to say, I agree with that sentiment. DarkState ruining the finish was genuinely disappointing and felt unnecessary.

However, does that change what happened in the match leading up to that moment? For me, it certainly does not. I wish there had been a clear, decisive winner, but that’s not something you can always expect, especially when working within WWE’s universe.
