Are the Lucha Brothers Heading for a Family Collision JUST to Feed Roman Reigns?

Professional wrestling graphic for WWE Raw featuring the World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender's Tournament Finals match between Penta and Rey Fenix.

It is the most transparent, predictable booking formula in modern sports entertainment: build up a white-hot crossover star, put them through a high-stakes program against their own flesh and blood, and then feed the winner straight to the machine.

With Penta and Fenix seemingly on an inevitable collision course, the writing is already plastered all over the arena walls. One brother is going to walk away with the bragging rights, only to step right into the ultimate sacrificial spot.

One of them is about to take a high-profile loss to WWE World Heavyweight Championship Roman Reigns just to pad an already stacked resume, potentially right in their own backyard.

“The OTC” is simply NOT losing his title, on an episode of Raw.

It feels less like a marquee dream match and more like a calculated power play. The unspoken message behind the booking is loud and clear:

Our top guy is light-years better than your top guy, and we’re going to prove it by clearing out your division one family member at a time.

Padding the Resume or a Setup?

Sure, working an intense program against his own brother will give Penta or Fenix an extra notch on their belt and keep the internet buzzing for weeks.

But when the dust settles, does anyone actually believe the endgame is about elevating a Lucha Libre icon, or is it just another routine feeding session for the corporate golden goose?

What do you think—does a high-profile clash between the brothers elevate their legacy, or is it a transparent setup just to keep Roman at the head of the table?
