Maple Leaf Pro Premiering on TSN Next Week, U.S. Streaming Deal Looming
The wrestling landscape is shifting fast, and Scott D'Amore’s Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling (MLP) is right in the center of it.
We already know the massive news north of the border: all roads lead to MLP Mayhem on TSN. The promotion has locked down its official premiere date for next Wednesday, July 15th at 12 AM ET / 9 PM PT on TSN2 and TSN+, bringing episodic Canadian wrestling back to national television for the first time in nearly 40 years.
But right as the timing aligns for their Canadian launch, U.S. and international fans have been left wondering how they are going to watch the product without resorting to a VPN.
According to D'Amore, you won't have to wait long for an answer.
"An Announcement Coming Very Soon"
Speaking on Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw, D'Amore addressed the international demand head-on when asked if American viewers would have to hunt down workarounds just to follow the show. Laughing off the VPN question,
D'Amore revealed that a legitimate, seamless solution is already in the pipeline.
"There's going to be an announcement coming very soon about how people in the US and other international viewers can follow because we get asked that question all the time...
We’re going to provide a proper legal path for fans to be able to watch it without the troubles of searching out this mythical VPN you speak of."
While D'Amore stopped short of naming the specific platform, he made it clear that the goal is global accessibility. The company is actively hearing from fans in the U.S., Mexico, Europe, and Japan, and they intend to make sure everyone has an official home to watch the action.
Why This Is Massive for MLP
Landing a dedicated U.S. and international streaming home changes the game entirely. It elevates MLP from a regional broadcast product straight into a globally accessible brand on day one.
For a company that already boasts a powerhouse commentary team of Mauro Ranallo and Don Callis, alongside a stellar roster featuring top-tier talents like Stu Grayson, Gisele Shaw, Josh Alexander, Ricochet, The Good Brothers and El Phantasmo, international distribution is the crucial missing puzzle piece.
D'Amore's strategy here is a masterclass in modern wrestling promotion: lock down the domestic television rights to establish a rock-solid home base, then immediately open the floodgates for global streaming.
Set your DVRs for July 15th on TSN if you're in Canada, and keep your eyes peeled right here—that international streaming announcement is dropping any day now.
