MJF Was 100% Right — Carlos Silva’s TNA Policy Is Straight-Up BS, and the “Insider” Machine Is Selling It
Former 2x AEW World Champion and the very reason a huge slice of the fanbase tunes in, MJF stepped into the ring and said what a lot of us have been thinking: Carlos Silva’s decision to yank TNA talent from already-booked indie dates against AEW stars isn’t about “protecting the product”.
It’s about control, optics, and an attempt to manage narratives rather than the welfare of the wrestlers or the integrity of the independent scene.
It’s about priorities — and those priorities clearly favor the shiny new WWE/TKO relationship over letting young wrestlers eat and get exposure.
Silva cited “partner conflicts” (read: WWE) and shut down dream matches like Nic Nemeth vs. MJF and Leon Slater vs. Ricochet.
Meanwhile, TNA talent keeps popping up on certain Florida indies with zero drama (Sarcasm).
The double standard is glaring, and MJF called it out on X — it’s beautiful to see a top star, make a stand, while sticking to character and being entertaining.
MJF wants the smoke because he sees the game for what it is, plus Dynamite is tonight, so that doesn’t hurt.
Talent should be allowed to work and make money, not get blocked to keep corporate partnerships happy. If TNA wants to play in the big leagues, they should stop treating their own roster like pawns.
What do you think — is this really about protecting TNA, or just protecting one specific relationship?
