Breakdown & Thoughts
A three-match card featuring a squash and a DQ finish feels a bit light on the workrate side, but MLW was leaning heavily into storyline progression and the ongoing FantasticaMania crossover flavor.
The Star-Studded Lucha Showcase: The opener/six-man tag had an unbelievable collection of talent on paper with Austin Aries, Último Guerrero, and DOUKI lining up across from Místico, El Desperado, and Diego Hill.
While the star power was off the charts, the pacing got bogged down by some clunky sequences and classic heel shortcut tactics. Thankfully, Místico righted the ship at the end, locking in La Mística to pick up the win.
Quick Work for GBOT: The Glasgow Boys On Top made short work of J-Unit in what was a definitive, blink-and-you-miss-it squash. Mark and Wolfgang dominated the action before putting Okumura and Kwon away with a brutal Shotgun F5.
Monster Mash Meltdown: Big Damo versus Mads Krule Krugger (accompanied by Shotzi Blackheart) was destined to be a car crash, but ending a hoss fight in a disqualification—followed by the inevitable Contra Unit gang-up and interference—left the physical match resolution feeling a bit flat.
