The CW Becomes the Exclusive Home for All WWE NXT Premium Live Events

Big News for NXT Fans: The CW Becomes the Exclusive Home for All NXT Premium Live Events!

WWE and The CW Network just dropped a major announcement that’s going to change how you watch NXT’s biggest shows. In a new multi-year deal, The CW has acquired exclusive broadcast rights to all WWE NXT Premium Live Events (PLEs).

Starting with The Great American Bash this summer, The CW will air 20 NXT PLEs live on both coasts over the next several years. That includes fan-favorite events like Stand & Deliver, Deadline, and Vengeance Day.

WWE will continue to produce the events, but now they’ll be broadcast exclusively on free-to-air television via The CW.

Why This Matters

  • One-stop shop for NXT: The CW is already the home of weekly NXT (Tuesdays 8-10pm ET/PT). Now it’s the exclusive destination for both weekly shows and the big PLEs.

  • Broadcast TV milestone: This marks the first time NXT Premium Live Events will air on broadcast television.

  • Strong momentum: The partnership began in October 2024 with NXT’s move to The CW. The debut delivered the show’s biggest audience in nearly a year and became The CW’s top telecast of the year in key demo groups (18-49 and 25-54).

Brad Schwartz, President of The CW Network, said:

“WWE NXT has energized our Tuesday nights by consistently delivering a loyal and passionate fanbase to The CW every week. Adding WWE NXT Premium Live Events to our schedule is a natural fit, providing one broadcast destination for audiences to watch all their favorite Superstars, storylines and championship matches.”

Shawn Michaels, WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, added:

“The CW has played an integral role in raising the profile of our up-and-coming Superstars, and we are excited to bring NXT Premium Live Events to broadcast television for the first time ever.”

The Bigger Picture

NXT continues to showcase WWE’s brightest young talent — stars like Tony D’Angelo, Lola Vice, Oba Femi, Trick Williams, Tiffany Stratton, Roxanne Perez, and more. Many current main roster stars (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, etc.) got their start in NXT.

This deal strengthens The CW’s growing sports/live events portfolio and gives NXT even more mainstream exposure on a network available in over 100 million homes.
