Rousey Taps Carano in 17 Seconds: We Complain and Will Watch the Next One

Rousey Taps Carano in 17 Seconds: Another Lightning-Fast “Dream Fight”

I kinda feel bad for the folks who paid good money (or stayed up late) for last night’s Netflix main event. But honestly… that’s on them.

Ronda Rousey just reminded everyone why she was the baddest woman on the planet back in her prime — she caught Gina Carano with a quick double-leg, jumped straight into an armbar, and it was lights out in 17 seconds.

Vintage Rousey. Clean finish. No drama. But let’s be real: I don’t “buy” these super-hyped “dream fights” anymore.

Everybody’s getting paid stupid money, the build-ups are pure spectacle, and the actual action sometimes feels… abbreviated.

Was Gina past her prime? Was this more business than battle? Probably a bit of both.

Either way, it was over before most people finished their first beer. That said — huge props to Rousey. She showed up, did what she does best, and proved she still has that killer instinct.

Hopefully she does more of these. Because even at 17 seconds, these things print money.

The world will complain today (“I got robbed!”), flood social media with memes, and then line right back up to buy the next one.

That’s the game. Rousey knows it. The promoters know it. And deep down, we all kinda know it too. What a time to be a combat sports fan… or at least a highlight-reel fan.
