SmackDown March 20, 2026: Cardona Humiliated, McIntyre & Fatu Go Full Cartoon
Last night's WWE SmackDown closed with absolute bedlam: Randy Orton luring Matt Cardona out for a "sincere" apology, only to hit the low blow, RKO, and stomp his arm on a chair like old-school Pillman vibes.
Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu's blood feud spilled outside, leading to them brawling on a balcony/platform before both tumbled off-screen as security freaked out and Nick Aldis screamed for help.
Show ends. Credits. No impact shown, just pure "they fell... somewhere."It was ridiculous, over-the-top, and yeah — a bit too silly even for pro wrestling standards.
Reminded a lot of folks of Hulk Hogan knocking The Giant off the roof in WCW back in '95: cartoon violence dialed to 11, logic out the window, but it got the crowd buzzing.
Fan reactions were split but leaned heavy into the laughs and "WTF" energy:
"HOLY SHIT that ending was fucking insane... Wile E. Coyote vibes but still enjoyable lol" (X post reacting to the fall clip)
"Randy murdering someone else and Jacob and Drew dying together, that ending was chaos lmao" (X)
"One more time chants to Cardona and Fatu and Drew died, what an ending lmao" (X, capturing the crowd turning heel with Orton)
From Reddit's post-show thread: "They did a nice job making the Fatu and McIntyre brawl feel intense and out of control, but I could have done without the fall from the balcony." (Mixed — hype but eye-rolling the drop)
YouTube comments on the segment clip: "The fans chanting 'One more time' is wild. Looks like the crowd has turned heel along with Randy too." And "This segment is the shoutout to Cena heel turn except it's Matt Cardona "
Another: "Poor Cardona. Orton is just that beloved." (Highlighting how Orton gets away with anything right now)
Not everyone was on board — some called it "dumb/pointless" or pointed out security failing to hop a fence like it was comedy gold gone wrong.
But overall, the online buzz treated it like peak Mania-season nonsense: absurd, memorable, and kinda hilarious if you're not taking it too seriously.
What do you think — lean into the cartoon side for the build, or dial it back next week?
If they follow up with these guys selling the fall like death (or just brushing it off Looney Tunes-style), it'll either be genius or a total flop.
Either way, I'm here for the popcorn.
