SmackDown Preview (5/1/26): Ricky Saints Debuts + Charlotte vs Jacy Jayne

This Friday night on WWE SmackDown (May 1st from the BOK Center in Tulsa), things are getting spicy. Ricky Saints is finally making his official main roster debut, and the former NXT standout is bringing that smooth, cocky energy straight to the blue brand.

No opponent announced yet, but you know WWE is gonna let him make a statement. Check out our preview, along with my predictions and latest podcast.

SmackDown May 1st Lineup

  • Ricky Saints Main Roster Debut
The former NXT standout (aka Ricky Starks) is officially joining the SmackDown brand. WWE aired a slick hype package last week calling it “Welcome to the Revolution!”

No opponent announced yet, but expect him to make a strong impression — probably a quick squash or a big angle to introduce his charismatic, cocky style to the blue brand audience. Tulsa crowd should eat this up as a fresh face.

  • Charlotte Flair vs. Jacy Jayne
First-time-ever singles match. This stems from Fatal Influence (Jacy, Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) making a chaotic main roster debut last week — attacking legends like Paige, Brie Bella, Alexa Bliss, and going after Charlotte.

Jacy’s been positioned as a bold, mouthy newcomer looking to make her name by taking down “The Queen.” Charlotte’s coming in as the veteran looking to shut down the new stable’s momentum. This one has big “establishment vs. hungry upstart” energy.

Superstars also announced: Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, Randy Orton, Tiffany Stratton, Carmelo Hayes, Sami Zayn, Damian Priest, Shinsuke Nakamura, Alexa Bliss, Jacob Fatu, and Solo Sikoa.

SmackDown Predictions

  • Kiana James and Giulia defeats B-Fab and Michin

  • The Usos defeats Los Garza Post-Match

  • Charlotte Flair defeats Jacy Jayne

  • Ricky Saints defeats James Ellsworth

  • Cody Rhodes discusses with CM Punk about his career and then Johnny Gargano shows up and then attacks CM Punk and then masked wrestlers attacks Cody Rhodes.

  • Jade Cargill traps Rhea Ripley into seeing Iyo Sky losing to Becky Lynch and kidnapped her inside the body-bag.

  • Carmelo Hayes defeats Solo Sikoa

  • Main Event: Trick Williams defeats Damian Priest

  • WWE SmackDown is one of WWE's flagship weekly programs, showcasing the biggest Superstars on the SmackDown brand in explosive matches, heated rivalries, intense promos, and major storyline advancements that shape the future of WWE.

  • It airs live every Friday at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network (in the US), with episodes also available on demand shortly after the live broadcast on Peacock (in the US) and on WWE Network or Netflix internationally (depending on the region).
