When Slow-Motion Collides with Reality: The Steph DeLander Chair Mishap

We've all seen some rough/comically bad spots in the ring, and this one is right up there. During her ROH Death Before Dishonor match against retaining champion Deonna Purrazzo, Steph DeLander decided to dial the intensity down to an absolute crawl.

Trying to execute a weapon spot, she wound up a steel chair swing in what felt like slow motion—giving her opponent all the time in the world to casually sidestep it. The result? A pristine clang against the ropes and an immediate ricochet straight back into her own face.

Check out the hysterical comments like “That chair shot was Hulk Hogan 101”.

For you youngsters, the Hulkster was famously known for his weak chair shots.

When a hardcore spot turns into a live-action cartoon gag, it’s safe to say it’s heading straight for the botch compilation reels.

Big thanks to our friend “Let’s F-N Gamble on Anything”, Sam the Man, who sent this in.

Steph DeLander IS on THE List
