Tessa Blanchard Wins Again in CMLL—What the Hell Is TNA Waiting For?
Tessa Blanchard just notched another victory last night in CMLL's #LunesClásico, teaming with Las Chicas Indomables (Lluvia and La Jarochita) to defeat Persephone, Dark Silueta, and Zeuxis in a spectacular trios match.
As highlighted in CMLL's fresh Instagram reel, it was a dominant showing—power moves, submissions, and crowd energy that solidified Tessa as a force in Mexico.
She's stacking wins like this consistently: earlier this month, triumphs in Arena Puebla (Feb 10 with Skadi and Akari) and beyond, always protected and booked strong.
Fans there adore her, and she delivers every outing, looking sharper and more explosive than ever.
CMLL treats her like the elite talent she is—no drama, just dominance.
Contrast that with TNA, where she etched history as the first woman to win the World Championship (plus Knockouts gold). Yet lately? It's been a rollercoaster of teases without payoff.
She shone in the Knockouts Battle Royal at No Surrender 2026 (Feb 13), eliminating foes left and right before Jody Threat's crafty rope-hang spot sent her out. Then, the Feb 14 iMPACT tapings brought a DQ loss in their singles grudge match—no clean momentum.
Yeah, she pinned Rachel Ley clean on iMPACT earlier (Feb 5 airing), but it feels like TNA's holding back on her full potential, spinning wheels instead of unleashing her.
Tessa's got the total package: power, athleticism, charisma, mic skills.
She's in peak form physically and proven she can headline. TNA has the built-in history—why not capitalize? Push her toward the Knockouts Title, craft cross-brand epics, or at least string together decisive wins over DQs and battle royal exits.
Interestingly, Tessa liked a WrestleVoice piece calling out unfair media targeting against her over the years—perhaps a subtle signal she's fed up with narratives overshadowing her work (check my previous article for more on that context).
The ring doesn't lie: she's better than ever and thriving south of the border.
TNA, take notes. What are you waiting for?
Thoughts?
Should TNA fast-track her to a title program, or is something else holding it back?
