TNA #2 U.S Promotion? LMAO, Not Even Close!

TNA #2 U.S Promotion? LMAO, No!

Pro wrestling legend Chris Jericho recently said “TNA looked like the second biggest company in the world”, based off of Bound for Glory. That’s one of the most ignorant things I’ve heard from a legend like Chris.

We only have viewership and ratings data for two major US wrestling promotions: WWE and AEW. WWE runs many live events yearly and appears on many streaming platforms. Because of this, WWE is the most popular and reaches the largest audience, with a big lead over its competitors.

Relax AEW fans, and the same goes for you as well—TNA is STILL nowhere near the level of AEW in almost every aspect. The only exception is one single show that performed exceptionally well: Bound for Glory. Yes, just that one show, Bound for Glory, stands out, but beyond that, AEW is clearly on a different level.

Do you know what TNA did after the initial hype? They took a whole month off! When they came back, it was for a weak live show where NXT midcarders (the big boys were at NXT Live) embarrassed them. This was exactly how the "partnership" started.

They followed with Turning Point, one of the few specials not available on any streaming site. No one streamed it, so most wrestling fans didn’t watch. To make things worse, they kicked out ICW favorite Jacob Cohen and his family from tapings for doing what he’s always done.

AEW airs a live Dynamite show every week, giving them a big lead over TNA, which goes live just a few times a year. Collision has been live about half the time lately and adds monthly special events. This steady live schedule helps AEW connect better with fans and keep excitement high.

Do you know how many wrestlers TNA has now, especially compared to AEW? TNA has about 65 wrestlers, but only 10 to 15 are officially under contract. AEW has a bigger roster with around 158 wrestlers, and all of them are signed to the company.

There’s no real debate between AEW and TNA. Only those leaving the company like Jericho, or people who repeat opinions without facts, argue otherwise.

“That crowd looked huge. It looked huge. It was like a WWE-level crowd. The place was packed. I was watching this, not saying anything out of school here, but comparing it to watching Dynamite when they were at the ECW Arena, which looked like a Tony Candela taping, sorry, it did. TNA looked like the second biggest company in the world. That was amazing. The presentation was amazing. It looked like a WrestleMania, it really did,”- Jericho
