TNA Genesis 2026 Review: Highs and Lows
Tonight’s TNA Genesis delivered a hell of a show overall — strong in-ring action, great storytelling setups, and enough head-scratchers to keep things interesting.
I’m giving it a solid 8/10. Here’s the breakdown of the highs that popped and the lows that made me roll my eyes.
But first, take a moment to check out our latest podcast just below — or don’t, your call; it never hurts to ask! #AutismAwareness
The Highs
The show was carried by some absolute bangers.
Knockouts World Title Match — Zaria vs. Lee
Hands down, my Match of the Night. Zaria stepped up in a major way, and Lee has been absolutely killing it lately. They took a somewhat quiet crowd and turned it electric by the finish. Pure fire.
Elayna’s Post-Match Appearance
Clean, confident, and crystal-clear: she’s coming for the title. Perfect follow-up booking — no notes.
Hardy’s vs. The Righteous
Exceeded expectations big time. The good-vs-evil creepy atmosphere was on another level. Would’ve loved a different winner, but this feud is set up for some incredible cinematic matches down the line.
Joe Hendry Stealing the Win
It made total sense for his character and momentum. The crowd ate it up — classic Hendry moment.
Also shoutout to a great opener and Elijah’s best match yet (Mustafa is still one of the greatest going — no debate).
Main Event
Very good stuff. The near-cash-in tease from Nemeth had the crowd buzzing, and it wrapped things up strong.
The Lows
Not everything hit.
Eddie vs. JDC
Way too long. Kicking out of finishers like he’s prime Hulk Hogan? Come on.
Retirement Send-Off
Nice gesture and good for the guy, but it felt a bit overdone. This wasn’t Flair-level.
Ryan/Mara
Personally not my thing, though the crowd was into it — so it worked on some level.
Women’s Booking Frustrations
Vicious Vicky was great to see, but Tessa Blanchard on the preshow while Mara gets a singles match?! They could (and should) be doing more with their top female talent.
Moose Injury Segment
The match started fun, then got super weird. President there, no EMTs, then he’s back flying around? Confusing non-angle. Hope he’s okay.
Teases Without Huge Payoff — The Nemeth almost-cash-in was exciting, but like some other recent hooks, it didn’t quite deliver that final bang.
Carlos Silva at Ringside for Every Title Match — Distracting and unnecessary. Maybe save him for the truly massive ones (if ever). 😂
Final Thoughts
For all the odd moments and frustrations, the Knockouts title match, the Hardys/Righteous feud, and the main event carried this special.
A very enjoyable show with some real highlights — 8/10 feels right.
