Thoughts on TNA Knockouts Title Match set for Gold Rush
The big two-week WWE NXT Gold Rush 2025 event is coming soon, and a major match was confirmed tonight. Kelani Jordan will defend her TNA Knockouts World Championship in a triple threat match against former TNA Champion Jordynne Grace and Lei Ying Lee.
That match isn’t exciting to me. How many title matches does Jordynne get? It’s become silly. There should be a rule that if she loses at Gold Rush, she moves down to Evolve. No disrespect, she’s a great wrestler but hasn’t been used well in NXT, to say the least.
Grace is 0-4 in NXT Title matches, with one more match ending in no contest. Last week, she lost a TNA Championship match to Kelani Jordan. Although Kelani didn’t win the title fairly, she has fully accepted her role as a villain, and villains cheat.
Speculation time! I strongly believe Jordan retains at Gold Rush, then likely beats a TNA legend or two after calling them out, ODB actually accepted the challenge on social media today.
But Kelani keeps winning until former TNA World Champion Tessa Blanchard arrives and takes the title back to TNA. (End of speculation)
Gold Rush will happen on November 18 and 25, featuring matches for the NXT, TNA, Lucha Libre AAA, and Evolve Championships. The November 18 show will air live on the CW and Netflix from Madison Square Garden.
The November 25 show will be pre-recorded and shown later. It's not confirmed which matches will be on each night.
