TNA Live Was a Disaster & WWE Gets Hendry: WTF?!

TNA Wrestling had a live Impact show last night. I was excited a few weeks ago, but they took a month off after a big Bound for Glory event. Why? Only they—and maybe WWE, who I believe already purchased TNA—know.

During the mostly messy show, NXT GM Ava and Santino gave a short speech about NXT and TNA working together. It seemed pointless until NXT midcarders attacked at the end, ruining the main event. The one good part was Kazarian winning the World Championship.

I’m a huge fan of his, and Santana just won that title though! This was the first real episode after he brought the title back to TNA, which made it even more significant.

(The AJ Francis vs. BDE match was planned in a segment that didn’t air, but a highlight of it still showed up. Really strange!)

So as much as I love Kaz and really dislike the timing of this change, it also makes me think that Santana will likely be heading to WWE soon, just like Joe Hendry and Jordynne Grace did before him.

To add to that speculation, Fightful reported during last night’s show that Joe had officially signed with WWE.

Tonight is Turning Point, and the entire show was hastily put together just last night. I believe calling TNA a disaster at this point doesn’t even come close to describing the situation accurately.

I can’t even go down the entire card—I mean, technically I could, but honestly, I just don’t care enough to. That said, here’s a quick note on the Knockouts Title match for Turning Point: Kelani is defending her championship against M by Elegance.

Now, Maggie Lee is definitely talented, but neither she nor Heather, who lost to Kelani just last night, really deserved those title shots in my opinion. Plus, M hasn’t won a singles match since June, so the whole thing is a mess.

Sadly, none of this comes as a surprise to me. In fact, my exclusive report from March now seems even more plausible and likely given the current circumstances.

Did anyone notice President Carlos Silva was missing? He usually appears a lot on camera during events, but not last night or likely tonight either. He was proud of Bound for Glory, which WWE NXT sold out—not Carlos or anyone from TNA, except their main star, The Hardys.
