The Tuesday Night Ratings Game: Grand Slam France Meets the NXT Battle Royal
We are officially hyped for both (AEW and NXT) shows tonight, and somehow, someway, we are going to watch every single minute of the chaos.
I find most ratings write-ups online to be dry, lifeless blocks of numbers written by people who look like they've never cracked a smile in their lives. We wanted to flip the script, lean into the sheer unpredictability of tonight, and actually have some fun with it.
That’s why I brought Gemini and Grok to this numbers party!
What We're Looking At Tonight
AEW Grand Slam France: They are coming straight off an emotional, massive tribute show last week that pulled a wild anomaly number (899K). But history tells us a post-tribute hangover is practically guaranteed, plus they are running an international tape-delayed special straight out of the Adidas Arena in Paris.
Even with a ridiculously stacked card—featuring Will Ospreay vs. Kazuchika Okada and Mercedes Moné vs. Queen Aminata—the overseas timing adds a fun twist to the math.
WWE NXT: Meanwhile, NXT is sitting pretty on The CW. They are live from the Performance Center with a massive 20-woman battle royal for a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc, plus Zilla Fatu vs. Lexis King.
It’s stable, it’s live, and it’s built to hold an audience from bell to bell.
