Where the Hell is Carlos Silva? TNA President MIA After Fan Heat Reaches Boiling Point

Where the Hell is Carlos Silva? TNA President MIA After Fan Heat Reaches Boiling Point

Last night on the April 23 TNA IMPACT show, Mike Santana dropped a banger against former champ Rich Swann to retain the TNA World Title.

Post-match respect spot, handshake, hug — the feel-good vibes were flowing. Then out comes Daria Rae, rocking that signature TNA hat (only in white and looks much better on her), to drape the gold over Santana's shoulder like it was the most natural thing in the world.

No Carlos Silva. No explanation beyond the usual "he couldn't be there."

We've seen top guys miss shows before, but the President? The on-screen authority figure who's been front and center announcing Hall of Fame inductions, PPV dates, and big partnerships?

That's not normal booking. That's a signal.

The Heat Was Real — And Getting Hotter

Let's not pretend this came out of nowhere. Carlos Silva has been eating L after L with the fans lately. He got booed during a Rebellion countdown segment after the talent-pulling drama exploded.

MJF went full scorched-earth mode, calling Silva's decisions "disgusting," labeling him a "dumb motherf***er," and ripping TNA for paying talent peanuts while blocking them from big-money indie dates against AEW stars.

Nic Nemeth vs. MJF? Scrapped. Leon Slater vs. Ricochet? Pulled. "Partner conflicts," Silva said. Translation: WWE handshake deals apparently trump wrestler paychecks.

Articles trashed him. Promoters vented. Talent reportedly grumbled. The IWC turned on him hard — and when the internet wrestling community piles on, the boos in the building follow.

Silva tried to smooth things over by reimbursing WrestleCon for expenses, but the damage was done. Fans were already chanting alternatives or straight-up negativity.

Speculation Mode: Activated

  • Option 1 (The Worked Shoot Special): TNA brass saw the crowd turning and decided to quietly bench him for a few tapings. Let Daria — polished, attractive, familiar from her WWE days, and not currently drawing nuclear heat — handle the feel-good moments.

It's a soft landing. Give the people what they want (or at least what they won't boo into oblivion) while Carlos "handles business" off-camera. Classic wrestling politics.

  • Option 2 (The Conspiracy Corner): This is the start of a slow fade. The talent-pulling fiasco embarrassed the company, MJF's promos made national noise, and suddenly the President is "unavailable" for a title presentation on a taped show that millions will see.

Coincidence? Or is Anthem looking at the optics and testing life without Silva front-and-center? Daria's already an on-screen authority. Easy pivot if they want fresh energy.

  • Option 3 (The Boring Reality — But We're Ignoring That Today): Logistics. Travel. Scheduling. Whatever. But come on — top TNA officials missing key tapings without a storyline mention? In 2026? Nah.

This feels intentional. Either way, the optics are hilarious. Santana wins big, crowd pops, and instead of the usual President doing the honors, we get the S.U.I.T. upgrade stepping up. Daria looked good doing it too.

Fans know her, she carries herself like management, and she doesn't have the recent baggage.

Bottom Line

Carlos Silva built TNA into a more stable spot with the AMC deal and big plans for 2026. Credit where due.

But the last few weeks have been a PR nightmare, and last night's absence screams "damage control."

Whether he's truly gone, taking a breather, or just conveniently busy, one thing's clear: the IWC, live crowds, and a certain writer, were loud enough that TNA listened.
