Wren Sinclair Stole the Night and #1 Contender Spot: Malenko-Style
Last night on WWE NXT, we got pure pro wrestling chaos in the best way possible.
A 20-woman battle royal to determine Kelani Jordan’s next challenger at Halloween Havoc.
Talent from NXT, the main roster, EVOLVE, AAA, and TNA all thrown into the deep end. Bodies flying, alliances forming and breaking in seconds, the usual beautiful mess.
And then there’s Wren Sinclair.
Suspended. Not even supposed to be there.
So she does the smartest, greediest, most deliciously opportunistic thing imaginable: she shows up disguised as AAA’s Lady Shani and spends most of the match outside the ring.
*Lady Shani herself chimed in, check that out below.
Dean Malenko Energy!
The quiet technician who understands that in a battle royal, survival is the real skill. Stay out of the war. Let everyone else exhaust themselves. Wait for the right moment. Then strike.
When the field thinned out, she finally got in and got it done — last eliminating Kali Armstrong to win the whole thing. The mask comes off. The crowd loses it.
Kelani Jordan, standing there with the title, suddenly has a very real, very personal problem on her hands.
This is what pro wrestling is supposed to feel like. Shock. Storytelling. A possible new star announcing herself in the most unapologetic way.
Wren didn’t just win a match — she hijacked the narrative.
Wren Sinclair is the No. 1 Contender. Kelani Jordan is on notice. Halloween Havoc just got a whole lot more interesting.
More of this please!
