WWE Main Event – May 21, 2026 Quick Results & Review

WWE main event 5 21 26

Back again with another edition of WWE Main Event — the show I openly laughed at a few months ago that has quietly become one of the most consistently enjoyable hours on the schedule.

Tonight’s card continued the recent trend of giving meaningful TV time to talent who’ve been stuck in limbo: Matt Cardona (who’s barely been used lately), the always-impressive Je’Von Evans, and Maxxine Dupri all got solid spotlight matches.

Main Event has turned into a genuine proving ground and reset button for midcarders and rising stars who need reps and visibility. You can watch the entire show now for free on WWE’s official YouTube channel.

WWE Main Event: May 21, 2026 Results

  • Matt Cardona def. Nathan Frazer

Cool matchup on paper, but it started slow and stayed slow for too long. The crowd was dead the entire early portion, which didn’t help. It finally picked up midway with some nice back-and-forth, but by then it felt too late.

Oddly sluggish pace overall — especially surprising given Frazer’s usual high-flying style. Cardona controlled most of the offense, had a strong run late, but missed a Phoenix Splash.

Frazer couldn’t capitalize, and Cardona hit the Rough Rider for the win. Meh — decent finish, disappointing overall.

  • Maxxine Dupri def. Nikkita

Nikkita isn’t known for her WWE matches yet, but her recent Evolve work is clearly paying off. This was easily one of her best performances in a WWE ring and against Maxxine, who all due respect, isn’t Charlotte Flair.

They delivered a damn good match — fast-paced and almost non-stop action from bell to bell, a huge step up from the slower opener. Maxxine looked better than ever, turning heads with sharper moves and much better timing.

Nikkita landed a big roundhouse kick but got distracted by the ref, allowing Maxxine to hit a top-rope crossbody for the win.

Great job by both ladies — this is exactly what Main Event should be.

  • Je’Von Evans def. Harlem Lewis

Harlem Lewis (an LFG guy) was making his Main Event debut and drew a tough assignment against Je’Von Evans. The crowd was into it, mostly for Evans. Lewis looked solid in there but didn’t show anything particularly special.

Je’Von handled the highlight reel stuff — flipping around and hitting his sick signature moves — and picked up the obvious win.

Overall Rating: 6.4/10

This was the weakest Main Event episode in a few weeks, dragged down by a flat opener.

Still, at just 40 minutes it’s an easy watch. Skip the first match if you’re short on time and jump straight to the women’s match — that one was worth it.
