PREVIEW: WWE Raw & SmackDown Double Taping — Atlantic City (June 29, 2026)
For the first time in nearly two decades, televised WWE programming returns to the iconic Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
But this isn’t a standard television broadcast—WWE is executing a massive double-taping, capturing both Monday Night Raw and the upcoming Friday Night SmackDown back-to-back under one roof.
With the massive, landscape-shifting fallout from today's Night of Champions premium live event in Riyadh still settling, the logistics of having both rosters in the building at the exact same time opens up an unpredictable, volatile sandbox for creative storytelling.
Here is everything we know, what we expect, and where the board sits heading into Monday. I also posted my predictions for both Raw and SmackDown, and latest YouTube video, enjoy!
The Certified Fallout
The Reign of Sami Zayn: The history books have been rewritten. Sami Zayn walked out of Saudi Arabia as the Undisputed WWE Champion. How does the ultimate underdog carry himself as the top titleholder on the red brand? His first appearance on television with the gold is a must-watch moment.
The King's Ransom: Fresh off capturing the 2026 King of the Ring crown, Oba Femi holds a guaranteed world title match for SummerSlam. He is advertised to make his choice on Monday. Does he target the new, vulnerable champion Sami Zayn, or does he aim his sights higher?
The Return of the Tribal Chief: Roman Reigns is officially advertised for the building. Whether he is there to address the collapse of his former empire, influence Oba Femi's championship choice, or mock the new champion, the dark cloud of the Bloodline hangs heavy over Atlantic City.
The Logistical Blueprint
Because of the massive double-taping format, the schedule for both the live crowd and the home viewing audience is slightly adjusted:
Venue Doors & Taping Commencement: 5:30 PM ET
Raw Broadcast (Streaming Live on Netflix): Special adjusted start time at 6:00 PM ET / 3:00 PM PT.
The Crossover Advantage: With the strict brand split softened by the physical logistics of the taping, expect backstage segments and cross-brand confrontations to seamlessly bridge the gap between Raw's Netflix block and the taped SmackDown segments.
