The End of an Era: Eric Young Departs TNA Wrestling

According to a new report from Fightful, Eric Young is officially done with TNA Wrestling.

For longtime fans of the promotion, EY leaving is always a massive headline. He is, without a question, one of the all-time greats in TNA history.

From his comedic brilliance as "Don't Fire Eric" and Super Eric, to his ruthless, world-championship-winning "World Class Maniac" persona, Young proved for nearly two decades that he could make absolutely any gimmick work.

His versatility and elite wrestling psychology cemented him as a true pillar of the company.

Eric Young TNA Career Update: The Cleanse is Complete

Every great run hits a wall. Lately, Young found himself anchored to "The Cleanse"—a faction and storyline that arguably stands as his worst character work to date

For a performer who usually injects maximum energy into his roles, the recent run felt like a rare instance of EY simply mailing it in.

Whether that was due to creative frustration or just hitting a natural creative expiration date, the magic just wasn't there anymore.

Eric Young leaves behind a legendary TNA legacy filled with unforgettable moments and championship gold. But as this latest chapter comes to a close, it's clear for both the promotion and the performer: it was time.

Thanks for the incredible memories, EY and enjoy Atomic Legacy Wrestling!
