WWE stacked the deck for the July 7 episode of NXT, taping a massive line-up last night that featured a major championship defense and two crucial Fatal Four-Way matches to determine the next challengers in line for gold.

If you want to go into next week's broadcast completely fresh, turn back now—spoilers ahead.

Layla Diggs Secures North American Title Shot

The show kicked off with high-stakes action in the women’s division. A Fatal Four-Way match was booked to determine the new number one contender for the WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship.

  • The Match: Layla Diggs vs. Izzi Dame vs. Lizzy Rain vs. Thea Hail

  • The Result: Layla Diggs picked up a massive victory, outlasting three of NXT's top rising stars to punch her ticket to a future title opportunity.

Niko Vance and Keanu Carver Pick Up Big Wins

The mid-card saw some intense physical battles as several top prospects looked to climb the ranks.

  • Niko Vance (w/ Izzi Dame) def. Shiloh Hill: Vance continues his upward trajectory, leveraging the presence of Izzi Dame at ringside to secure a hard-fought win over Hill.

  • Keanu Carver def. Tank Ledger: In a battle of pure power, Carver managed to shut down Ledger's explosive offense to claim a decisive singles victory.

Van Dux & Legacy Punch Ticket to Tag Title Shot

The tag team division took center stage in a chaotic, star-studded Fatal Four-Way match with championship implications on the line.

  • The Match: Dorian Van Dux & Sean Legacy vs. DarkState (Cutler James & Osiris Griffin) vs. BirthRight (Channing Lorenzo & Uriah Connors) vs. OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price)

  • The Chaos: The ringside area was packed, with Arianna Grace, Charlie Dempsey, and Lexis King all making their presence felt during the bout.

  • The Result: Dorian Van Dux & Sean Legacy weathered the storm and the outside interference to walk away as the new No. 1 Contenders to the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships.

Kendal Grey Retains the NXT Women’s Championship

In the night's main event, the NXT Women's Championship was on the line as veteran expertise clashed with the division's future.

  • The Match: Kendal Grey (c) (w/ Wren Sinclair) vs. Nattie (w/ Karmen Petrovic & Nikkita Lyons)

  • The Result: Kendal Grey proved exactly why she sits at the top of the mountain. Despite Nattie having veteran back-up in Petrovic and Lyons, Grey—with Sinclair in her corner—successfully retained her title in a highly competitive championship bout.

WrestleVoice Take

NXT continues to lean heavily into booking definitive No. 1 contender matches to drive their summer storylines.

Layla Diggs winning the four-way sets up a fresh dynamic for the Women's North American title picture, while Van Dux and Legacy's tag division win establishes them as the team to beat.
