NJPW Academy 3rd Anniversary Showcase (March 21, 2026) Review

NJPW Academy Celebrates 3 Years with a Solid Showcase in Carson, CA

The NJPW Academy 3rd Anniversary Showcase went down on March 21 in Carson, California, and it delivered exactly what you’d expect from a strong developmental show: hungry young lions, solid fundamentals, and a few standout performances that hint at future stars.

I actually caught the full stream live yesterday, and it was solid. No major blowaway matches, but nothing that felt like a waste of time either. The Academy continues to emphasize clean, athletic wrestling with strong chain work and psychology, which is refreshing in an era full of high-spot chaos.

NJPW Academy 3rd Anniversary Showcase Results

  • Klay Cutler defeats Bastian Infinite

  • Johnnie Robbie defeats PJ Laurier

  • Tag Team Match: Movie Myk & Ray Rico defeat Danger Ross & Zuka King

  • Cordell defeats Jovannissi

  • Casey Ferreira defeats Onyx Amagi

  • Tag Team Match: Allan Breeze & Steven Borden defeat HITT & Vin Parker

  • STRONG Survivor Match: Raymond Bright defeats CJ Tino

NJPW Academy has quietly become one of the more respected developmental systems in North America.

Their focus on fundamentals over flippy nonsense builds trust with hardcore fans who value long-term wrestler development.

While not as flashy as some indie showcases, the consistency and “learn your craft” mentality give it strong authoritativeness in the eyes of traditional wrestling observers.

Early voter feedback on platforms like CageMatch backs up the “solid B/B+ show” consensus, I can’t disagree at all.

If you’re a fan of NJPW Strong or just enjoy watching the next generation grind, this was worth checking out. The Academy keeps quietly producing talent that could make noise in the coming years.

Overall Rating: 7.4/10
