Stevie Richards Drops Painful Truth Bombs on Stephanie McMahon

Stevie Richards WWE Stephanie McMahon

Stevie Richards went in on The Stevie Richards Show while reviewing WWE WrestleMania 42 weekend, and he did not hold back about the Billion Dollar Princess.

During the Hall of Fame ceremony, Stephanie McMahon received a lengthy tribute video, multiple family speeches, and a long acceptance speech that Stevie described as feeling like it dragged forever.

His main takeaways:

  • The whole segment felt like it was “all about her” and more like a political/rehearsed speech than a wrestling Hall of Fame moment.

  • He questioned why it was so long when many of the speeches (including from her daughters) weren’t particularly strong.

  • Stevie flat-out said Stephanie does not deserve to be in the WWE Hall of Fame as a performer or writer, calling it something that belongs in the “Hall of Shame” instead.

  • He compared the forced applause and standing ovations to a “hostage situation” or North Korea-level clapping.

  • Bonus shots: He mocked the idea that her slaps were legendary, the over-the-top production, and noted the ceremony itself had trouble selling tickets (they dropped prices last minute).

This is classic Stevie: blunt, no filter, and saying what a lot of longtime fans have been thinking quietly.

He emphasized that while Stephanie was nice to some people and remembered names, that alone doesn’t justify the level of reverence — especially compared to others with stronger in-ring or on-screen bodies of work (he even said Shane McMahon deserves it way more).

What do you think — was the HOF induction too much, or does Stephanie deserve the flowers regardless?
