TNA iMPACT Preview: Another .03 Demo Week – Is the AMC Honeymoon Already Over?
TNA has now posted back-to-back 0.03 ratings in the key 18-49 demographic. That’s not just soft — it’s a noticeable step down from the stronger 0.04–0.05 range the show was hitting earlier in its AMC run.
Total viewership has been sliding too, and the numbers don’t lie: momentum from the network move appears to be cooling off fast.
Tomorrow night’s card (May 7) doesn’t do much to reverse that trend. It feels… meh, again.
TNA Thursday Night IMPACT 5/7/26 Lineup
TNA Knockouts World Championship: Arianna Grace (c) vs. Lei Ying Lee
TNA World Tag Team Championship: The System (Bear Bronson & Brian Myers) (c) vs. Nic Nemeth & KC Navarro
No DQ: EC3 vs. Eric Young
Tag Team: Leon Slater & Moose vs. Eddie Edwards & Cedric Alexander
Plus: Mike Santana appearance and storyline fallout
On paper there are a couple of solid pieces (the No DQ should deliver, and title matches always matter), but overall it screams “filler episode.”
Leon Slater — one of the most exciting young talents on the roster — is once again stuck in a random tag match.
Whatever happened to giving the X Division real focus and fresh matchups? It’s buried, a dead division!
But TNA fans are cool with mediocrity (Tommy Dreamer in Creative), so whatever.
I’ve had a TNA podcast for about 7 years, fans don’t change, they’ll “love” whoever is in charge, no matter how bad they suck at their jobs, like Carlos “Go away bro, you got abused by MJF” Silva.
Coming off the big AMC debut, this run of shows has felt increasingly phoned-in at times. If TNA wants to hold onto (or grow) its new audience, they need to stop mailing it in and start delivering must-see TV again.
The ratings are proving the point.
