NXT Viewership Hits 6-Week High Amid Women’s Division Showcase and Commentary Shakeup
WWE NXT is riding a wave of momentum. The latest numbers are in, and Tuesday night’s episode managed to draw its largest total audience in six weeks, even while competing against heavy hitters on network television.
The Numbers Game
According to data from Programming Insider, NXT pulled in a 0.09 rating in the key 18–49 demographic and a total of 610,000 viewers.
While the demo rating held perfectly steady with last week’s upswing, total viewership jumped a significant 11.3% from the previous week’s 548,000.
In fact, both metrics represent the brand's strongest performance since the May 5th episode (which drew a 0.11 demo and 641,000 viewers).
Holding this ground is especially impressive considering the sports landscape on Tuesday, where the FIFA World Cup on FOX absolutely dominated the night with a massive 2.99 demo rating and over 9 million viewers.
Women's Division Takes the Wheel
What makes this viewership spike particularly interesting is how the show was structured. NXT featured only four matches on the entire broadcast—and a whopping three of them were from the women's division.
The brand has leaned heavily into its deep female roster, and the creative focus is clearly paying off.
Headlining that effort was Natalya defeating Jaida Parker, capping off a physical rivalry that has been tearing up WWE social media channels for weeks.
When social media buzz translates directly into sustained television viewership, it’s a massive win for the talent involved.
A Quieter Night at the Desk
Viewers also noticed a major change at the announce table this week: Booker T was absent from the broadcast. While the Hall of Famer has his dedicated fans, his polarizing style behind the mic isn't for everyone.
It’s a sentiment shared widely across the smart-mark landscape; the Wrestling Observer Newsletter readers recently voted Booker T as the Worst Commentator of the year.
The adjusted desk gave the show a notably different flow this week, and based on the ratings stability, the audience didn't seem to mind the temporary shakeup at all.
